About Extracting Images from Video
Every video is a sequence of still frames, usually 24 to 60 of them per second. This tool lets you pause a video on the exact frame you want, step backward or forward one frame at a time, and save that frame as an image at the video's full resolution.
PNG keeps every pixel exactly as it appears in the video and is best for screenshots and thumbnails you plan to edit. JPG produces a much smaller file and is fine for sharing. The captured image is always taken from the original video data, not from the scaled-down player.
Tip: to turn a whole clip into a moving picture instead of a still, use the Video to GIF tool.
